Check in is any time after 2:00pm. Check out is at 11:00am.

Early check-in is not guaranteed, but you can call ahead to see if your room will be ready before 2:00. We do not allow for late check-out.
Planning your stay

Yes! Quiet Bay is open year-round, including holidays.
Our daytime business hours are from 7:00am to 9:00pm. Please limit after-hours calls to urgent matters only.

We are a small 2-person team so we are often out cleaning rooms, maintaining the grounds, or out gathering supplies, so there may not be someone actively monitoring the phone at all times. If you leave a message or email us, we will get back to you as soon as we can! We thank you for your patience and understanding.

The best time to view fall colours at Quiet Bay is generally the last week in September or the first 2 weeks of October.
While you're at the inn

There is wifi included for all inn rooms.
There is no wifi at the cottage.

Kitchenettes are fully equipped with an apartment sized fridge, stove top (no oven), toaster, kettle, microwave, coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes, and cutlery.

Yes! We have pet friendly rooms, for a small extra fee (see our rates for a breakdown of costs). Please let us know if you are bringing a pet, so we can prepare the room accordingly (i.e. putting extra top sheets on the beds to keep the fur off, etc). We only allow pets in certain rooms, so please tell us if you’re bringing a furry friend!

No, all our rooms are strictly non-smoking. You are welcome to step outside into the parking lot or patio to smoke, but do be mindful that your smoke does not waft into any neighbouring rooms if standing close to an open window.

It depends! You are most likely to see moose from May-July. To increase your chances, we recommend going for an early drive (6:00-7:00am). Moose have been spotted along Highway 124, Old Nipissing Road, Highway 520, and by Midlothian Road, to give you an idea! We’ve also had moose walk right through the property in plain view.

We do not allow fireworks to be set off on Quiet Bay property.
Food and drink

Yes! Our water is pristine filtered well water, tested every 3 months for safety and quality. It is completely safe to drink.

Yes! There are a few places within a 5-10 minute drive. The Magnetawan Bait and Tackle (https://www.magbait.com/) is a great gift-shop, convenience store, and bait and tackle all-in-one. They’re located 5 minutes down the road from Quiet Bay on Highway 124, plus, they also can provide fishing licenses!
10 minutes to get into town, and we have Algonquin Fine Foods (https://algonquin.store/) serving only the best artisanal foods, including quality foods from artisan cheeses, local meats, fresh and smoked fish, gourmet sauces, local produce and gluten free foods.
Magnetawan Grill and Grocery (https://www.facebook.com/MagnetawanGG/) is also available, with fresh produce available, in addition to anything else you can think of!
